Dr. James Ferrell
Optometrist
Dr. Ferrell graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. After practicing for eight years in the defense and private industries, he returned to Murray State University for his Pre-Med requirements. In 2001, he graduated with a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry.
As a primary eye care physician, he enjoys managing various eye conditions such as glaucoma, allergies, infections, cataracts, dry eye, foreign bodies, and other eye disorders. For patients who need glasses or contacts, he strives to provide the highest quality products and the latest technology. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and other organizations. He is pleased to work with a fantastic staff that provides high-quality overall care.
Dr. Ferrell enjoys doing mission work locally, in Central America, and elsewhere through his church. He accepts donated glasses for these efforts.
In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, biking, and spending time with his family.
